CAKE SMASH and SPLASH PHOTOSHOOT 

Edible messy play is their favourite game and a great way to celebrate their first birthday

We did our maternity, newborn, sitter and cake smash photos with Cate.
She was absolutely amazing with the baby and also the 4 year old sibling.

What happens during the session?

We'll start with some classic individual portraits of your baby on a plain background and with your chosen theme.
I'd also like to take a family portrait or two if you'll allow it.
We'll then bring out the cake! 
In reality, your baby won't eat much of the cake and you'll be able to take it home again afterwards.
When we've had enough of playing with icing, we'll bring out the warm bubble bath to get cleaned up and play with bubbles and rubber duckies.
The session will be relaxed but pretty non-stop as your baby will only have an attention span of around 45 mins before they will have had enough.
 

I will then see you again a week or so later so you can choose your favourite 5 or choose to upgrade your package.
You will view a fully edited gallery of 15-20 images for you to choose from.

I will then give you your chosen digital files and order your beautiful prints for you.
If you arrange your cake smash for around 3 weeks before their birthday then you'll have your images and prints in time for their big day

We had Cake smash photoshoots for both our children and were thrilled with the results both times.

FAQ

Can we choose a theme?
You may choose whatever theme you like so long as you give me enough notice to arrange it for you 

What if my baby isn't playing ball?
Sometimes it takes babies and children 10 minutes or so to get used to being in a new place but
I've never had a situation where the baby hasn't liked the studio/me or having they picture taken by me.
Very rarely they do decide that they don't want to touch the cake or get in the bubble bath but if that's the case,
We'll still get a varied and gorgeous gallery of images.  

When should I book?
Get in touch to book as early as possible.
You can book your session before your babies birthday so you have the images on time for their big day or
book the session to be on their actual birthday. 

Can I bring the rest of the family?
Of course, bring whoever you like!
Siblings and relatives are more than welcome to get involved.
Do please bring along family pets!

How safe is the studio for babies and toddlers?
Although many precautions have been taken to keep the studio as accident free as possible,
it's still a photography studio with light leads etc so babies will need to have eyes kept on them when wandering

How and when do we pay?
First I'll invoice you 50% of the bronze package to hold the session time for you. Your chosen session time will not be secure until this is paid.
Then I'll invoice you the remaining 50% of the bronze package the day before your session. This needs to be paid before the session can commence.
You will have then payed for the full Bronze package and are in no way obliged to pay anything else unless you choose to upgrade your package.
You'll have your gallery viewing session 1 or 2 weeks after your session.
At this meeting you'll view a slideshow of your images and be able to observe the variety and quality of your images.
You'll choose which 5 images you'd like to keep or upgrade your package to include more digital images and prints.
You will also be able to see samples of wall art, frames, print boxes and books.
You will only have one gallery viewing meeting so you should make sure that all decision makers are present.
Payments for package upgrades, wall art and products are made via the card machine in the studio.

Are you insured?
Of course. I am fully insured with 'Photoguard Insurance' for professional photographers.
Certificates are on display in my studio and available to view upon booking on request.

Are you Qualified?
Yes, 4 years of official photography qualifications as well as additional specialist posing and safety training.
